A rich aroma of red cherries, raspberries, blackberries, and plums, with nuances of ripe black cherries and dark plums adding depth.
Further accents of herbs, spices, and black pepper create a complex and alluring aromatic profile.
The palate is smooth, with remarkably fine, silky tannins. This wine boasts a harmonious balance of rich fruit and an elegant finish, making it both approachable and sophisticated.
It pairs wonderfully with a wide range of meat dishes, such as chorizo stewed in tomato sauce, liver dishes, yakitori, and yakiniku.
The fruity notes and spice enhance the umami of the food, making it suitable for both everyday meals and special dinners.
Grapes are hand-harvested from late September to October, sorted by bunch in the vineyard, and then further selected berry by berry at the winery. Only the finest fruits are used.
Maceration takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 10-18 days, depending on the grape variety. This is followed by 18 months of aging on the lees, with regular bâtonnage to impart rich texture and complexity to the wine.
Le Thadee is an Umbrian winery established in 2018 by the Natali family, who have a long history of grape cultivation.
They acquired excellent vineyards in Montefalco and manage the entire process from cultivation to winemaking and bottling.
Adopting organic farming methods, they practice winemaking that respects the inherent characteristics of the land. They also own rare pre-phylloxera ancient vines that predate the phylloxera epidemic, preserving Umbria's historic terroir for the future.
Despite small-scale production, Le Thadee is gaining recognition for its high-quality wines, sharing wines that blend tradition and innovation with the world.
